"Our
Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy
name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth
as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive
us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against
us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver
us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom, the power and
the glory, for ever and ever".
Amen
Matthew
6:9-13 (KJV)
The
Lord’s prayer aptly summarizes the
Providence of God in guiding our Romanian
Christian Community, not only to North Carolina
but to greater America. We are a diverse
group of people coming from various backgrounds.
Some of us were born here while others emigrated
mostly from Romania. Our religious background
consists of various denominational beliefs
and doctrines. Yet, what unites us into
a fellowship and communion of believers
is the gift of Grace given through the Holy
Spirit.
Our
guiding motive is faith seeking understanding.
Our faith is belief in the Living God which
is both a mystery beyond human comprehension,
yet a God that is revealed through the revelation
of the Holy Spirit.
Our
Church was brought together by the power
of the Holy Spirit through direct revelation
from God, whether through visions, prophecies
or dreams, the Spirit spoke individually
to us. By obedience to His word, we all
left lucrative careers, schools, friends
and family and some of us even changed professions
in order to listen to God’s prompting
to relocate to North Carolina.
In His mercy God promised that He set aside
certain places as haven for His people.
In His Sovereignty God brought us here to
use us as candles in the dark, as guiding
lights to bring about His Kingdom as harbingers
of the Kingdom.
Our
Church believes that you become what you
worship. Being one body in Christ made up
of various members enlivened through the
Holy Ghost and the works of the Spirit while
living in the flesh. Central tenant and
guiding principal of our beliefs is that
The Holy Spirit determines and guides our
lives and we bring that into the Church
service. We believe that the revelation
of God uncovers, unveils, and discloses
the knowledge and mystery that God wants
to convey to us and we need to conform to
it. For us the principal of revelation is
a disturbing surprise, is an epiphany that
illumines and frightens us as well.
As
a Christian community that is set apart
as a holy nation in society, we daily must
put on the full armour of Christ: the belt
of truth, the breastplate of righteousness,
the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation,
the sword of the Spirit, and with our feet
fitted with the readiness that comes from
the gospel of peace. Our purpose is to live
apart from the world while living in the
world and allowing God to live through us.
Thus our ministry is to show God’s
love through our actions by holding true
to the gospel which states in James
1:27 (NKJV)
Pure and undefiled religion before God and
the Father is this: to visit orphans and
widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself
unspotted from the world.
We
currently meet on Sunday from 9:00am to 12:00pm at 4805 Dillard Dr., Raleigh, NC 27606.
